Ensuring Food Security & Promoting Food Processing Industry

The Uttar Pradesh Government is implementing several policies and schemes to promote food security and food processing industry. This includes ration distribution under National Food Security Act (NFSA), Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY), Take Home Ration (THR) and other schemes.

Additionally, the state has implemented Food Processing Industry Policy 2022 and 2023, under which comprehensive incentives are being provided to investors, MSMEs, FPOs and farmers.
